I received a comment on Facebook from my mentor that read,"I have an idea we need to discuss."
The beginning
Now, you have to understand this fact.
Mrs. Parham's thoughts and ideas mean to the world to me. She was my very first mentor teacher. Her wisdom has come with many, many years of being in the trenches of education.
The comment came shortly after I made these posts...
The post
Finishing projects is what I do over the summer. What little spare time I have in April and May (if I have any, after all, I am a teacher!), I usually spend pinning ideas that I want to implement in my classroom the next school year. Being that I am transferring to a new school, I am on the project war path. Since school let out in May, I have created, organized, or researched (pinned) every day.
It is just something I do: it comes naturally.
So, I called Mrs. Parham today (yesterday....since this post will go out at 2:30 a.m.) expecting her to give me a nice little idea for my class. No. Not even close.
This wonderful lady gave me the best.advice.ever.
Become a Professional Classroom Organizer.
WHAT?!?
This is something that I have been doing for YEARS, however, only for colleagues and for...well...free.
People actually pay for this?!
Teachers will pay for this?!
Needless to say, I am ecstatic!!!
Here I am teaching and internet universe.... I am becomingma Professional Classroom Organizer!
So, first things first.
This blog will document the beginning to end of my 2017-2018 school year. From blank walls and unwaxed floors to pack up and prep for the next school year and all the wonderful things in between.
I hope you stay on board and find some ideas you can use in your own classroom!
Love,
To create your own desktop organizer you will need the following:

FYI- I used the last two pages in the label file to use the same background but the fonts of my choice.
